My name is Andrew and I need a kidney.
I created this website primarily to find a kidney. Additionally, I created this site to allow myself to be more proactive in regards to my health. It’s a scary thing when your body begins to fail you and it’s out of your control. For me, I’m fighting a battle and need a tangible reward to have that sense of accomplishment. By getting some thoughts down to share I think it will do me some good.
This is essentially an account of my ongoing experience after my diagnosis of End Stage Renal Failure. Documenting this aspect of my life has not been an easy task. On one hand, I am an individual who likes to maintain my privacy; and on the other hand, I feel compelled to share my story to help others learn about kidney failure, what to expect if a loved one is diagnosed with kidney failure, and the importance of organ donation. At the very least, I hope you learn something from what I have to offer.
There are a few pages to this website as separated by the tabs found below the blue banner. Included are some links to websites that are very enlightening. There are also a few pictures of my family - my very supportive family – and me (that’s me to the right!). Also, the last section is a contact section where you may send me an e-mail or private comment. I would love to hear from you with any thoughts and/or feedback you may have. In the future, I may add more, but at the moment I think this makes for a pretty good start.
